Where the eighty-five technical marks actually land
All three GATE DA papers were read one question at a time, each question assigned to a section of the 2027 syllabus, and every question’s marks checked against that year’s official answer key. This is what they show, year by year.

Read the year columns as carefully as the mean. Probability and Statistics, Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms and Machine Learning carry the most marks on average, but no section held still: a mean tells you how to budget your months, and the three columns tell you how far a single paper has strayed from it.
Three papers, three different setters
A different institute every year
GATE DA 2024 was organised by IISc Bengaluru, 2025 by IIT Roorkee and 2026 by IIT Guwahati. GATE 2027 is organised by IIT Madras, which has not yet set a DA paper — so no past paper shows how the 2027 setter writes one.
The 2027 syllabus did not change
The 2026 and 2027 syllabus PDFs were compared phrase by phrase: nothing was added, removed or reworded. Only the labelling changed — 2027 numbers its seven sections — so the 2026 paper was set to the same syllabus 2027 will be.

Is three papers enough to go on?
It is all there is, and the book does not pretend otherwise. Three papers show how much a section can move from one year to the next — Database Management and Warehousing went 7 → 11 → 18 marks, Calculus and Optimization 8 → 11 → 2 — which is exactly the thing a single paper, or a single averaged number, hides.

Not in content. The 2026 and 2027 syllabus PDFs were compared phrase by phrase: no phrase was added, removed or reworded. What changed is the labelling — 2027 numbers its seven sections — and the book prints the comparison so you can see it for yourself.

Ten, each a full-length 65-question, 100-mark paper in the GATE DA pattern, with a worked solution for every question.
How many practice questions are there?
257, across eight subject chapters — the seven technical sections and General Aptitude — each with a worked solution. The mock tests are on top of these.
